Dr Janani Kannan

Dr Janani Kannan completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Tasmania in 2016 and commenced General Practice training in 2021.

Dr Kannan provides comprehensive general practice care for patients of all ages, with a special interest in women's health, children's health, mental health and adolescent health. She enjoys supporting patients through every stage of life, from preventive healthcare and routine check-ups to managing ongoing health conditions.

Dr Kannan also provides skin checks, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, skin cancer removal, and birth control implant insertion and removal. Whether you're due for a skin check, need advice about contraception, or are looking for a trusted GP for your ongoing healthcare, Dr Kannan is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care.

Dr Kannan is passionate about building trusted relationships with her patients and believes everyone deserves to feel heard and respected. She takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and works collaboratively with them to develop personalised healthcare plans that support their long-term health and wellbeing.

Dr Kannan is fluent in English and Tamil, allowing her to provide care to a broader range of patients within the community.
